1934–2012
Jack Haggarty, a former vice-president of the Alberta Teachers’ Association, died in Edmonton, May 19, 2012.
In addition to his 35-year teaching career, Haggarty was active with the ATA at the local and provincial levels. As well as serving as vice-president, he was the ATA district representative for Calgary City. Haggarty held a BEd (Industrial Education) and MEd. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita.
